Nasrin Art– Painter, Illustrator & Conceptual Artist
I am Nasrin — a painter, illustrator, and conceptual designer.
I was born in a mountainous, historic city where the spirit of Kurdish tradition, myth, and ancient culture surrounded me.
Yet I also grew up in a world shaped by war, modern education, and the fast-changing rhythms of contemporary life.
This duality — the tension and harmony between past and present, myth and reality, nature and modernity — runs through my work.
For me, art is a universal language, one that transcends words and connects people through form, feeling, color, and story.
A language that reveals our shared roots across cultures and borders.
In my work, I explore a wide range of techniques — watercolor, colored pencil, acrylic, oil, ink, and mixed media — to build visual worlds that are poetic, feminine, and deeply narrative.
My inspiration flows from nature: trees, rivers, soil, and light.
But also from the symbolic language of Iranian heritage, folk motifs, and archetypes of womanhood that hold within them not just beauty, but wisdom, depth, and meaning.
I believe art should not be confined to galleries.
It should live in our daily spaces —
on walls, fabrics, clothing, packaging, and any surface that touches life.
Whether a painting, a page in a book, or a printed pattern on cloth —
my works are always story-driven.
Every color palette, every motif, is chosen with purpose.
Nothing is purely decorative. Everything tells a story.
In a world flooded with noise, speed, and consumption,
I believe in pause, stillness, reflection — and in being present within nature and within ourselves.
For me, creation begins with silence.
And I believe in femininity as a way of seeing, making, and living —
a spirit that nurtures, gives form, and heals.
I believe that art must live in life, and life must breathe in art —
as a path to balance, remembering, and renewal.
In my world, art is not merely a tool for expression — it is a ritual of remembrance.
Through art, I strive to give voice to the silent echoes of nature, the roots, feminine memories, and ancient cultures.
Each piece is a journey inward:
to nameless trees that have lived beside us,
to soils that whisper stories,
to a femininity whose gentleness is strength.
Trees in my work are metaphors — of humanity, womanhood, motherhood, memory, and time.
Their branches speak in silent language,
their roots recall unseen bonds with the earth,
and their trunks stand like bodies bearing the weight of time.
I see the visual world as a second language —
a language liberated from words, conveying feeling through color, line, light, and silence.
In my art, color is never decorative or accidental; every hue carries memory, carries emotion.
My artworks are not made just to be hung — they are made to be lived with.
They offer a space for pause, for remembrance, for reconnection with nature and with our truest selves.
To me, art is rooted in connection:
between past and present,
between human and earth,
between woman and tree,
between story and image,
between imagination and reality.
I want art to be a part of life — like light, like soil, like roots.
Art that is simple, yet meaningful.
Tangible, yet profound.
Gentle, yet powerful.
Art is the place where we remember ourselves,
our memories, our roots, and our bond with nature.
And perhaps, that very act of remembering is the magic the world needs.
